Ranker is looking for a Video Producer to oversee new and existing online video production projects. Candidates must have a strong editorial focus while being able to analyze performance data, find and direct talent; lead shoots; collaborate with editors, and pertinent stakeholders; see a project through post-production, while staying on budget and schedule.
We are growing our content production and are looking for a strong, editorially minded, execution-focused producer to help us grow distribution on YouTube, Facebook, Snap, OTT, Ranker branded content channels, etc.
This individual will be involved in the creative and production built around Ranker as well as verticals, which include Pop Culture, Horror, Music, and TV/Movies.
Working with a growing team of in-house producers and freelancers, you will help shepherd the production of existing video series content (Weird History, Total Nerd, RankWorthy, Button Mash, etc.); work on developing new pilots and concepts with our team, and help analyze performance results.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate on the development of new video concepts as well as the refinement of existing projects over multiple channels
Create, maintain and champion each individual channel’s video voice
Manage video projects from concept through production to final delivery
Track projects and maintain production calendars
Analyze content performance data and work with all teams to improve efficiency, cost, and revenue generation.
Participate collaboratively in existing slate and new concept development
Oversee live-productions when/where applicable
Grow and expand the list of freelance writers, editors, and talent
Experience Needed
Minimum 5 years of experience in video production, and/or digital distribution, relevant experience producing short-form video content
Strong production, project management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects
Ability to work effectively across production, distribution, and audience development
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Digital asset management background and familiarity with syndication methods
Bachelor's Degree, TV/Film Production, Communications, or similar preferred
