Our Design team is seeking a UX/UI copywriter to join our team on a full-time basis! We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial drive who will be responsible for maintaining the SimplePractice voice across all product touch-points and platforms. Your writing should be clear, pithy, and conversational rather than transactional. 



Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with design, product, research and marketing, from product kick off through development and iteration, to ensure all product copy is cohesive and complementary to the overall experience.
  • Write clear and informative product copy, which is reflective of the needs of the customer, and demonstrates the brand tone of voice across SP
  • Work across various product teams to build and support a unified voice across our customer experience
  • Manage multiple projects at once
  • Work with our Senior Copywriter to ensure a consistent voice and repurpose marketing copy style guide for product
  • Audit existing copy as it exists on legacy sections of the product and make recommendations for improving the experience.
  • Plan, write, edit, test, and improve content including interface language, product education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature and other content
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility in our product and policies
  • Dive into Figma to write copy that balances tone, brevity, and clarity

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a UX copywriter for SaaS products
  • Demonstration of clear and concise product copy
  • Experience supporting the full product development process, from vision to launch to iteration
  • Experience working directly with product managers, designers, and product marketing to build compelling product experiences
  • Experience translating complex product and business concepts into simple and engaging copy
  • Strong demonstration of empathy for both users and employees
  • A web-based portfolio of relevant work samples with a UX focus; including problems you helped solve for, your contributions, and impact to the customer.

Josh Keegan Gross’ tech stack includes Ruby on Rails on the backend and Ember.js on the frontend. “Both are opinionated frameworks which take time to learn but allow engineers to complete feature work faster and with more code integrity,” he said. The team has been working on a new project to SimplePractice — a searchable platform of clinicians called the Monarch Directory. “This is a big new direction for us and the impact is huge,” said Keegan Gross. “Allowing people to more easily find and connect with a therapist adds a lot of value to our clinicians, company and the public at large.”

Engineers are invited to demo new technologies at lunch-and-learns and our weekly meetings regularly feature demos of something new we’re using in our stack.
