Responsibilities:

You’ll take ownership of the technical documentation of our web application and APIs, as well as the underlying business rules of our platform. Working directly with our engineering and product teams, your responsibilities as our first full-time documentation specialist will include

• Define documentation standards
• Restructure, organize, and update our existing documentation
• Manage the documentation process, including the creation, editing, versioning, proofreading and publishing of documentation 
• Edit, clarify, and proofread technical documents written by your colleagues, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills as needed
• Review and edit content for all new and enhanced features
• Implement workflows to ensure the documentation is relevant and kept up to date

We’re currently using Confluence, Postman, and a bit too much of the oral tradition; experience with the first two of these is helpful but not required; experience with reducing the need for the third one is essential.
