The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Social Media Content Coordinator (full-time, hourly, regular) is responsible for all components of video distribution across the Motor Trend Group’s Social Media Platforms, with the specific and measured goals of ensuring operational efficiencies and distribution of our growing buyers guide video practice. The position will work across brands and will be coordinating with the Motor Trend Studio, Post Production and Social teams. Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

 

Content Planning

  • Execute and deliver key materials to drive views and engagement on video assets in Social and off platform (i.e., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram Feed, Instagram TV, Instagram Stories, TikTok and Twitter).
  • Maintain the daily video distribution calendar and ensure all necessary points of distribution occur on time and according to planning schedules.


Video Content Distribution

  • Work in collaboration with Social Media Editors, The Studio Team and Campaign Managers to post content on time and according to multiple client deliverables.
  • Follow best practices in posting Buyer’s Guide videos.
  • Experiment with innovative ways to increase delivery of video and performance KPI’s across social platforms.
  • Management of video assets in our publishing suite Khoros, to organize and track data.
  • Maintain distribution lists of key stakeholders.
  • Management of video assets in various platforms Digital Rights Manager / Content ID for purposes of preventing copyright infringement.


Content Measurement / Other

  • Summarize upcoming content plans to key stakeholders.
  • Measure performance in real-time.
  • Provide weekly KPI reports to monitor performance of assets.
  • Create Adobe tracking links, Bitly URL shorteners, headlines, copy, thumbnails and other elements, which are essential to content presentation for each platform.
  • As necessary, assist in community management, posting and engagement across social platforms.
  • Organize and track all source material, ensure it is organized, and kept up to date, and properly labeled in Khoros.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience project managing video-driven campaigns across social and digital teams.
  • Experience with the digital video landscape, understanding how video formats and creative performs across different social platforms and digital destinations.
  • Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok & YouTube.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • A strong interest in car culture.
  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in Social Media.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable for constantly changing landscape.
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • An ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects at once is necessary.
  • Ability to be a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary.
  • Good technical understanding and ability to pick up new tools quickly.
  • Strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail.
  • Shows a high degree of self-motivation.


Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not include supervising responsibilities.


Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

Work Environment:

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated. However, while safer / stay at home orders are in place work will be conducted at home.
