About the Role
We are seeking a performance-minded Senior Video Editor (Paid Social) responsible for developing social media content for our Gold subscription and Telehealth services. Expertise and proven track record of success in producing, shooting and editing high-quality, direct-response video ads for paid social media is required. This role also requires the ability to translate marketing and product strategies into effective, high-performing campaigns that effectively engage targeted audiences, drive consumer acquisition, and maintain consistency across all touch points. The ideal candidate is in the know of new trends, techniques, tools and best practices across social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm, script, shoot and edit social content (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Reddit) from brief to completion in partnership with copywriters, designers and acquisition marketers that drive user acquisition and retention
- Edit a variety of video footage, animate motion graphics, source royalty-free music, and do light UI comping, color correction and mixing
- Strategically think about business problems and create visually compelling videos that effectively communicate the message
- Research new trends, techniques, platforms, and tools to develop engaging social content that converts
- Understand media channel objectives and goals to ensure optimal ad performance and take data from previous ads and improve the creative to optimize performance
- Help to develop creative and strategic frameworks to push best-in-class social execution
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer’s mindsets, attitudes, & behaviors to inform strong creative development
Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of editing experience at an agency or client-side direct-to-consumer marketing team, with a focus on social and digital content
- An online portfolio that shows compelling direct-response social media content and a proven track record of producing great ads
- Possess a broad knowledge of current production and post-production techniques
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: with a focus on After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop
- Able to not only edit great content, but shoot it as well
- Color correcting and set lighting knowledge a plus.A conceptual thinker with strategic sensibilities
- Proficient understanding of performance marketing channels, A/B testing and user acquisition KPIs
