At HopSkipDrive, we know that to tackle our toughest challenges, we need different approaches, unique perspectives, and new ways of thinking. We are building a team of creative problem-solvers from many different backgrounds.
The Senior Manager, Content will own content strategy, programming, and production for all HopSkipDrive audiences, including B2B (schools, districts, nonprofits, agencies), CareDrivers, and Consumers. You will create and publish content that supports marketing and sales objectives throughout the lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to nurture to onboarding to renewal. You will immerse yourself in the company’s buyer personas, understand their role on the path to purchase and/or renewal, and tell stories that create awareness, consideration, preference, and conversion. You will build upon existing brand pillars, making persuasive arguments for our company’s safety innovations, our unrivaled support for families and schools, and our impact on communities of CareDrivers, educators, and vulnerable youth. You will scale content production to enable greater scale in prospect campaigning, lead nurture, pipeline nurture, and client lifecycle comms. Being a detail oriented perfectionist who triple-checks everything, you will publish error-free, beautiful content that gets attention for all the right reasons.

Your Primary Responsibilities
Own, refine, socialize, and implement our content strategy.
Build and maintain our content calendar.
Extrapolate our brand positioning into editorial objectives and guidelines.
Grow and manage a high-performing virtual team of in-house and freelance copywriters, designers, and producers.
Use blog, white paper, and other content to elevate our brand’s authority and thought leadership in the areas of safety, equity of mobility, and academic outcomes.
Support ongoing organic social media efforts to grow audience, awareness, and the brand.
Take an immersive approach to understanding what kinds of content are required to acquire, engage, motivate, and retain CareDrivers.
Tell less/show more when it comes to differentiated aspects of our operation.
Understand, and program to, the organic school-year seasonality of our business.
Monitor content and collateral published by competitors, make inferences about underlying strategy, and suggest intelligent counterprogramming approaches.
Reimagine enterprise onboarding content that can support a smooth, fast, and automated path to “first trip” and beyond.
Use content to expand an enterprise client’s understanding of our capabilities and consider additional use cases that grow ridership.
Support Sales through the creation of pitch decks, battle cards, and RFP bid templates.
Support Business Development through the creation of personalized content for named prospects.
Maximize the value of our content budget.
5+ years’ experience in content marketing roles with evidence of steady growth
3+ years’ experience managing content creators to high levels of delivery, whether direct reports or vendors
Experience writing persuasive and challenger-based thought leadership content
Impeccable and thoughtful communication skills, both written and spoken word
Deadline orientation, organization, and relentless attention to detail
Great attitude every single day, especially when the work is hard
A passion for the discipline of marketing that manifests as a desire to learn and grow in this job; you know that marketing is your field and you want to practice it here
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
Experience using or administering content management systems
B2B business or business journalism background
Experience working with designers across diverse media
Video production experience
Sales enablement content production experience
