Operations/Resource Management:  Supervise day to day operations and resources to insure quality assurance and timely throughput with a strong emphasis on client/company security practices. 

Customer Service: Maintain client facing relations for onsite customers.  Participate in workflow meetings and client consultations as needed by Producers and Director, Production.

Team Leadership: Supervise Artists, Operators, Coordinators and Scheduling teams. 

Communication:  Foster strong internal communications to keep staff informed of ongoing throughput, delivery deadlines and resource availability.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Resource Supervision:  Oversee human and technical resources to ensure best practices and balanced utilization. Ensure teams are prepping rooms on time and accurately to keep sessions on schedule.  Ensure deliverables are being manufactured in a timely manner and with a strict adherence to quality control and security practices.  

Resource Planning & Communication:  Identify redundancies and efficiencies, control overhead spending and develop workflow improvements to enable consistent throughput. Work in conjunction with Studio engineering teams to escalate major downtime and communicate issues to all stake holders.  Schedule systems/software upgrades, repairs and replacements. Maintain a running Engineering list.  Recommend and specify improvement and upgrades for annual CapEx budget.  Commission burst capacity resources for peak periods.  Collaborate with DCAG divisional colleagues to borrow and share resources as needed.

People Management/Development:  Supervise teams of artists, operators, coordinators, and schedulers.  Manage time and attendance, maintain job descriptions and provide performance reviews on an annual basis.  Handle onboarding, off-boarding and the recruitment of permanent and freelance candidates. Develop a training and mentoring program for new team members; schedulers, operators, and coordinators. Use existing tools and documents on Confluence as a mechanism for collaboration and knowledge share.  Advocate for the highest level of quality with strong attention to detail.   

Special Projects:  Handle special initiatives, i.e. Paperless work orders and implementation of work order actualization at the artist/operator level.

REQUIRMENTS/BACKGROUND:

10+ years of post-production experience

2-3 years of management or project management experience

Knowledgeable of acquisition formats (camera types), feature post production practices,4K, 16bit HDR, 3D, visual effects, and all data centric workflows and deliverables.   

Exposure to mainstream filmmakers and Hollywood culture.

A self- starter, detailed oriented and capable of working well under deadline driven timelines.  

BUSINESS SYSTEM EXPERIENCE:

Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook proficiency

ScheduAll or Xytech Preferred (not required)

Proficient with web applications and tools for job management

Knowledgeable of Black Magic/DVS/ Lustre/Auto Desk/ application practices  

Reports to Sr. Director, Production, Features
