UMG is looking for a Visual Content Manager to work one-on-one with the department head on music videos and visual content projects. The employee must have a flexible, professional attitude and be able to work remotely and/or unsupervised. The job requires long hours on-set, ranging from 12-18 hours, time spent driving to and from set, occasional weekend work, occasional travel, etc. During these scenarios the employee will be reimbursed for work related travel, expenses, etc.

The ideal candidate is obsessively detailed, pro-active, has a knack for problem solving and a "can do" attitude. Passion for music, music videos, entrepreneurial spirit, polished professional demeanor, and the ability to keep calm under pressure are musts.

Job Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the creation of a music video, from research/solicitation of treatments to production, post-production and delivery
  • Maintain database of all video project materials
  • Liaise with directors, reps and production companies during solicitation
  • Maintain director statuses of current video solicitations
  • Attend in-house marketing meetings
  • Research new and current music video directors
  • Liaise with directors, reps and production companies during solicitation
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels including Executive Management
  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with external partners and clients
  • Possess strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform basic yet complex math problems while budgeting
  • Proactive in determining roadblocks
  • Ability to work under high pressure and speed
  • Great social and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to keep information highly confidential
  • Flexible schedule, ability to work remotely / unsupervised
  • Must have a driver's license

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of commissioning experience
  • Previous label experience required
  • Previous production experience required
  • Knowledge of current music video landscape required

Education:

  • BA degree preferred
