The UMG Supply Chain Operations Team is responsible for managing the end to end Supply Chain for Physical Products. It includes the setup, manufacturing and distribution of time sensitive media product in a demanding retail and consumer market.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for all Supply Chain planning processes for all product configurations managed through the UMG Supply Chain Network. The Manager will help ensure Global consistency in the planning processes, approach and tools collaborating closely with UMG International Operations and Demand and Capacity Planners.

Job Functions:

Forecasting and Demand Planning

  • Establishing forecast models for all product configurations across the Supplier base
  • Collaborate with UMG Commercial and Label Commercial teams to improve accuracy of demand planning processes
  • Support campaign management and planning and large re-orders as special planning events and incorporate into Demand and Capacity plans

Capacity and Load Planning

  • Establish and maintain Capacity planning models for key suppliers
  • Provide guidance to the UMG New Release and Catalog Planners in terms of Plant loads and capacities
  • Collaborate with UMG Operations teams and suppliers to maximize value through the Supply Chain network
  • Collaborate with UMG Operations teams to trouble shoot issues, find creative solutions and manage constraints when over capacity situations occur
  • Prepare and help facilitate Q4 (busy season) planning

Catalog Inventory Planning

  • Own and plan a set of Catalog SKUs
  • Place reorders for Catalog SKUs by leveraging Supply Chain Planning Workbench (SPW System)

High Profile Release Planning

  • Support the Operations by managing High Profile Releases. These are New Releases with unique requirements that may require customized release plans, expedited manufacturing and distribution timelines and or high security
  • Interact and support our UMG Music Labels with High Profile New Releases

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance against established targets and benchmarks. Define opportunities to leverage Planning processes to drive improvement in performance
  • Generate weekly, monthly or ad hoc reporting and data modeling to improve planning processes and all other Operations KPIs
  • Review and analyze historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Analyze business needs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce total delivered costs across the Supply Chain

Global Supply Chain Management Support

  • Support the planning and optimization of our Global Sourcing efforts
  • Focus on continuous improvement, consistently look for ways to improve current processes, methodologies and systems to reduce cost and increase efficiency
  • Work with IT teams to implement system enabled process enhancements with respect to Planning tools and processes
  • Provide back up support to other roles in the Supply Chain Operations organization

  • Must be proficient with planning processes, systems and analytic tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and others)
  • Query or data mining tools required. SQL experience a plus.

  • Demonstrates experience in extracting and segmenting data to facilitate data analysis
  • Knows how or where to obtain information; is resourceful

Time Management Skills

  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Prioritizes work activities; plans and stays organized in order to meet commitment and productivity standards
  • Manages timelines; deals effectively with pressure

Other Requirements

  • Some travel will be required

Languages

  • Required: English
  • Any other language is an asset

Experience:

  • 3-5 of experience and proven, positive track record in a Supply Chain planningand optimization
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with analytic tools
  • 3-5 years process improvement experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency across the supply chain. Solid understanding of Supply Chain Management operations, including manufacturing, logistics and general warehouse operations

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business. Related experience in lieu of degree will be considered
