The Jr. News Editor will work on an exciting new opportunity within Ring to curate and edit useful breaking news alerts for our Ring Neighbors. This position is best suited for a candidate with experience and passion for journalism, crime reporting, and content curation. In addition to a solid grasp of the English language, the candidate should demonstrate a strong knowledge of digital & new media. Having a knack for engaging storytelling that packs a punch and a strong nose for useful content are core skills that are essential to the success of this role. In addition to technical skills, the Jr. News Editor must have great time management skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic. The primary focus of the job is curating and editing simple, short news alerts. Portfolio samples and a written test are required for consideration. This person will report directly to our Sr. Content Manager, and work with our Content Strategy team.

- Have 1-2 years of experience with breaking news journalism and/or content curation (crime reporting is preferred)
