Encore, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, has a position in its visual effects department in Burbank, CA. Encore is an Emmy award winning VFX house, providing outstanding visual effects work for television and motion pictures. We currently have an opening for a Groom TD who creates and supports photorealistic grooms, fur and feathers for digital doubles, creatures and environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Ornatrix in 3ds Max. The position will be located in Burbank, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating and supporting photorealistic grooms, fur and feathers for digital doubles, creatures and environments.

Debugging technical issues along with creating and supporting high quality hair, fur, feathers and organic elements.

Meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Must be proficient and passionate about creating grooms that can be simulated and rendered efficiently, while matching live action reference or concept sculpting.

Must be able to understand a point cache-based pipeline and have a generalist's understanding of CG pipelines for R&D and workflow considerations regarding Ornatrix.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Ornatrix in 3ds Max.

Requires experience debugging technical issues along with creating and supporting high quality hair, fur, feathers and organic elements in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate must show ability to work well under pressure and meet fast turn-around deadlines. 

Candidate must be able to supply a link/s to your website/reel along with a breakdown of the work you did in the footage/images.
