You’ll be working with a small team of growth-oriented marketers with big plans to turn Hawke Ventures clients into a publishing powerhouse. As the Equity Content Strategist, you’ll be responsible for developing all content related to our corporate marketing campaigns, including our social media engagement, with an eye to growing our community of business owners, executives, influencers and thought leaders.

You’ll report directly to the Director of Equity, working alongside teams that consistently earns the highest-quality press mentions in the industry, an acquisition team driving incredible growth, and marketing strategists that have an impressive list of startup experience under their belts.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Director of Equity, overseeing all elements of Hawke Venture’s content initiatives related to awareness campaigns
• Take ownership of community- and audience-building campaigns, both online and offline
• Monitor, curate and create content for all our social media platforms
• Develop content strategy for multimedia initiatives
• Engage potential customers on our social channels
• Work with a videographer to produce awesome video content for clients
• Be prepared to take on high-profile client projects, if necessary - Hawke Ventures often trades marketing services for high-profile exposure, which is often a great opportunity to stretch our skills

Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
• Strong writing skills
• Online publishing experience
• Strong community building skills
•  Ability to utilize graphical imaging tools (ie - Photoshop / Illustrator) to generate images for social media (perform 80% of the design work; let a design expert finish the last 20%)
• Natural ability to make connections both online and offline
• Entrepreneurial mindset looking to take your career to the next level in a growth-oriented environment

Bonus Points

• Multimedia experience (regardless, you should have an interest in overseeing these projects to make sure they are on-brand and up to Hawke Media standards)
• Deep experience publishing blog content through wordpress
• Experience with video production, including live streaming
• Motivation to learn any/all of the above
