The Email Copywriter will be responsible for directing the strategy and executing the messaging for email campaigns across all verticals including channel, retention, e-commerce, PR, etc. The Email Copywriter will work closely with department leads, the email marketing manager and the rest of the creative team to produce product lifecycle campaigns, newsletters, transactional emails, brand announcements, product releases and more.

Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and collaborative environment. They must be comfortable interacting with high-level stakeholders, department directors, creatives and everyone in between.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders across all departments to lead email strategy.
  • Execute email strategy with clear, concise and error-free copy.
  • Work with designers and other creatives to elevate email executions.
  • Brainstorm and strategize new and refreshed campaigns.
  • Work with the email marketing manager to create and execute A/B tests.
  • Absorb learnings from A/B tests to improve effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Work within existing brand guidelines and apply a high level of detail for copy.
  • Actively advocate for the clear and consistent application of the brand voice.
  • Work on multiple projects while consistently delivering high-level creative within hard deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of copywriting experience in tech, CPG, ad agency or related field.
  • A team player who can work alongside c-level executives, department directors, product managers, project managers, designers, writers, etc.
  • A team player who’s open to direction and criticism, but can also exhibit initiative when working independently.
  • A creative marketer with a proven track record of elevating email creative.
  • A direct marketer with a proven track record of increasing conversions, revenue and other KPIs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid copywriting skills with a good eye for grammar and syntax.
  • Firm grasp of email marketing best practices.
  • Some art direction skills with basic knowledge of design principles and software.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Some familiarity with email marketing and design software
