This is a contract role and you will not be directly employed by MotorTrend Group.  You'll be required to work through a third party agent called TCW.

• Pay Rate; $600 to $700 a day depending on experience
• Hours: 8 hour days
• Location:  Fully remote.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Editor – Post Production (Freelance, Hourly, Temporary) This position works out of our El Segundo office, and is responsible for Editing episodes for MotorTrend Group – Original Programming content as well as other company video outlets (web, broadcast, etc).  Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Edit original long form programs for digital and linear platforms in AVID.
• Bring the creative team’s vision and outline to life by editing together the story, adding motion graphic elements, and incorporating sound design.
• Understanding of MT post-production procedures and hitting deadlines on notes and review cuts
• Ability to work with lots of different kinds of footage, under tight turnarounds
• Ensure every video meets MT standards and is delivered on time

Education/Experience:

• At least 3-5 years previous experience in editing long form video/television.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Mac OS X

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

Equipment/Software Used:

• Avid Media Composer, Resolve, Pro Tools, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, FTP Clients and NLE systems
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
