Job Summary:
The Curriculum Developer utilizes adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create impactful, interactive courseware and supplemental content for internal customers through various channels.
Job Expectations:
Design and develop high-quality learning content, based on a combination of needs analysis and project requirements, for both technical and skills-based learning programs.
Draft, design, storyboard, script, and develop educational video content and interactive elearning courseware.
Design and develop videos, guides, tutorials, job aids, assessments and other learning materials to facilitate understanding and retention.
Utilize creative, interactive media to enhance knowledge adoption.
Explain technical concepts and procedures in simple language for both non-technical and technical audiences.
Multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting delivery schedule deadlines.
Support administration and maintenance of LMS courseware and related content
Provide constructive and targeted feedback of course materials to team members in a professional manner
Observe and evaluate the results of training programs
Determine the overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Quick learner; ability and willingness to accept new and different ways of doing things and to accept coaching from manager and other leadership resources
Adaptive, flexible, creative and innovative, with the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
Excellent written/verbal presentation skills
Clear and concise writing skills with extensive knowledge of proper word usage/grammar; superior attention to detail and focus on quality
Understanding of graphic design, elearning principles, voice-over and video production
Ability to simply and effectively communicate complex concepts and material
Ability to interact effectively and develop working relationships with all departments and employee levels
Strong organization, project management, planning, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience working within Learning Management Systems (Workday Learning experience a plus)
Working knowledge of Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Captivate, or other similar software
Experience and Education:
- Generally requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT training curriculum development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Design, or a related field
