Team & Position Overview

At Relativity, we reimagine the way rockets are built and flown. We are redefining design, manufacturing and operational processes, to create the first true 21st-century aerospace company. We are looking for a Creative Content Associate to join our growing team at our headquarters in Los Angeles. As a Creative Content Associate at Relativity, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining the visual aesthetic of the Relativity brand through a variety of creative mediums and projects. You will report to the Head of Creative & Brand.

 

Primary Responsibilities, Objectives & Outcomes

To help us reimagine the way rockets are built and flown, as Relativity’s Creative Content Associate you will:

· Design and produce a wide range of collateral for both print and digital, including presentations, videos, websites, social media, marketing materials and brand identity systems

· Create and maintain brand assets, illustrations and renderings to support key company objectives

· Work collaboratively with the Head of Creative & Brand and internal stakeholders to brainstorm and apply strategic solutions to a multitude of cross-departmental projects

· Ensure branding is consistent across the company, including documents, logos, facilities, experiences, and products

· Assist with vendor management and communications

· Design and photo research, editing, organizing, and archiving

· Provide daily general and administrative support to the team as needed

 

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have 3+ years of graphic design and illustration experience, preferably from both in-house and agency environments. You enjoy working collaboratively but are capable of working autonomously and independently. You are a designer with exceptionally high standards who can manage everything from day-to-day team tasks to complex production ready projects. You enjoy finding creative and strategic solutions to obvious and hidden problems, while inspiring invention and innovation. Whether you are designing product logos or supporting more general company objectives, you have the ability to concentrate and contribute in a fast-paced environment. 

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design and illustration
  • Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Expert command of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, or other site builders 
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to utilize creative strategic thinking with exceptional organizational skills
  • Great eye and attention to details in regards to communication, design and production of projects
  • Ability to move fast, work iteratively, and live outside of the comfort zone
  • Experience managing relationships with outside vendors
  • An interest in the future of space along with a desire to support human life on earth and Mars
  • An interest or experience in photography and photo editing
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth of experience

Bonus Skills & Competencies

  • BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent creative path/experience
  • Photography, video editing and motion graphic skills
  • CAD/3D modeling experience

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
