Summary:
The Content Executive, Daily Essentials will oversee the development and production of premium, short-form content for daily essentials.
What You'll Do:
- Work with a team of executives to oversee original Daily Essentials programming for
- News, Sports, Pop Culture and Lifestyle genres
- Work with partners to help manage and maintain staff of 15-35 people per show
- Work in close collaboration with partners and show runners on editorial priorities including show rundowns
- As needed: approve stories, topics
- Provide constant feedback on daily execution
- Daily quality control: viewing/feedback loop
- Monitor and enforce S & P issues
- Manage advertising and editorial conflict
- I.E. Pull ‘FORD’ ad when editorial covers a FORD recall
- Identify content trends to ensure Quibi is the leader in premium short form DAILY video
- Oversee creation and maintenance of partner RFPs, pitch materials, decks, and sizzle reels
- Work closely, collaboratively and professionally with external partners to vet budgets and schedules
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 plus years of experience developing and creating content with a digital video publisher, broadcast network, production company or related experience
- Vivid imagination and endless curiosity
- Team-player mentality, assertive, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and collaborative
- Strong relationships with content creators, agents, producers, and managers; ability to foster and build new relationships
- Strong storytelling and hands-on production skills
- Knowledge of, and deep interest in, content and target millennial demographic (target 25-35)
- Know how to ensure succinct, efficient and timely communication between external partners internal teams regarding all aspects of daily production, schedules and deadlines
- Ability to create workflows and systems that improve the production process for internal teams as well as external partners
- Flexibility of work in New York or LA (respectively)
- Direct experience and relationships within the entertainment industry, network, publisher or platform
- Understanding of the overall media and OTT landscape
- Willingness to work in Los Angeles and travel to New York
