The Role:

We are looking for an Affiliate Partnerships Manager  to support our team in identifying and developing new relationships into strategic Affiliate partnerships across the StackCommerce Media Network.

The ideal candidate should have a background in sourcing, writing, and editing product deal/review content for an established publication. You know how to navigate the key affiliate networks like the back of their hand. But most importantly, you know the secret sauce to writing content that converts.  

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and develop new relationships into strategic Affiliate partnerships
  • Negotiating premium commission rates with retailers and advertisers
  • Use search data, Google trends, cultural events, and affiliate retail sources to inform your content strategy
  • Manage and maintain existing Affiliate partner relationships by providing proactive business solutions to Affiliate partners, as well as offering ideas / methods of increasing revenue through unique marketing programs
  • Manage freelance writers and editors to scale article volume
  • Navigate major affiliate networks and develop best practices for sourcing deals
  • Manage and maintain advertiser relationships on an ongoing basis while bringing high paying offers to publishers in our network
  • Make recommendations and oversee strategies related to affiliate marketing with the goal of increasing traffic and maintaining profit margin
  • Report on short-term and long-term revenue and engagement metrics
  • Present weekly performance updates for Executives and Management
  • Manage product requests and updates between relevant engineering teams across multiple stakeholders
  • Be an effective motivator for publishers and advertisers, promoting top programs, and keeping close communications with top performers
  • Assist in editing articles for our Shops commerce program when necessary

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of business development experience: prospecting, outbound sales, client management, etc.
  • Highly analytical with a data driven mindset
  • Strong written, verbal, and relationship building communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to maintain own work-flow and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively and approach opportunities outside of the box
  • Comfortable making own decisions, but strictly abide to set rules and guidelines
  • Works well in a team environment, with ability to structure own work and operate independently when required
  • Must be resilient, and ambitious with a strong sense of urgency and achievement
  • Strong grammar and spelling skills
  • Knowledgeable in Google Analytics and SERP ranking techniques
  • Background in managing freelance writers
  • Comfortable negotiating commission rates and forming relationships with advertisers
  • Self-starter who’s not afraid to generate new ideas 
  • Metrics-driven
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, that is incredibly driven, agile and goal oriented with a growth mindset

  • Intro Call: You’ll hop on a quick call with the hiring manager so we can get to know you better — and you can learn a little more about the role. 
  • Homework Assignment: We will send over a quick writing exercise that challenges you to solve a problem and come up with creative solutions. Get a feel for what you’ll be doing on a daily basis!
  • Remote-Team Interview: You’ll be meeting with 5-6 team members on a video call. This is your chance to ask questions and see who this role interacts with on a daily basis.
  • Final Video Call: This is a great opportunity to get to know our COO or CEO over video.
