That's where you come in.

As a Writer, you'll wrangle verbs and corral errant adjectives within a cross-discipline brand team to communicate Riot's values through stories about who we are, what we do, and why we do it across multiple channels, including riotgames.com and social media. You understand how to write for specific audiences and wield a range of voices and tones. You'll produce writing that's technically excellent, brimming with energy, and playful. You're not interested in spin. You strive to communicate with a balance of transparency and clarity that's smart, well-crafted, and authentic.

You'll source content by constantly wondering, "What should folks know about Riot?" Your background in content management, writing, or content production will help you deliver meaningful stories that'll connect players, fans, and potential Rioters with Riot and the things we make.

You are:

• Educated and experienced: candidates should bring a bachelor's degree in English or a related field and at least three years of experience cranking out high-quality, long- and short-form writing; you've probably worked as a web content guru, editor, or in advertising or corporate creative services, though where you wrote matters less than what you wrote
• Brand storyteller: your nose for a good story helps you imagine and find the stories and angles that share the culture of Riot. You have a bulletproof command of the English language and the prospect of perfecting a message really gets you going
• Positively collaborative: you relish a good brainstorm, savor constructive criticism and can partner with cross functional team to reach a collective goal
• Culturally astute: you're a core gamer and have your finger on the pulse of culture, and you know your memes
• Strategic thinker: you're able to articulate the 'why' behind the decisions you make with your copy whilst ensuring what you are creating will resonate with other gamers
• Player-focused: your passion for gaming as a whole led you to the games industry, which gives you a great feel for players' perspectives; you preferably have at least a few months of League of Legends experience under your belt as well or you've immersed yourself in Riot's culture from afar

You will:

• Craft technically excellent, well-written stories, scripts, tweets, and more that share with the world who we are, what we do, and why we do what we do
• Collaborate closely with other brand team members to create excellent content and publish it to riotgames.com and other channels
• Collaborate across teams to help Rioters around the org produce content sharing their Riot stories
• Contribute to our brand/content strategy and editorial calendar for all Riot brand comms channels
• Edit content written by other Rioters to ensure it meets the quality bar and tone
• Ghostwrite content for senior leadership in a style that marries their tone with the Riot tone
