We are on a mission to responsibly accelerate the value of information and intelligence across society. We are pioneering a decentralized skills markets, and approach to scalable AI evaluation and discovery that we believe can do for AI what PageRank did for the web - usher in more trust, transparency, and vibrancy.

You’d join a lean, passionate, senior team on the cutting edge of AI and decentralized technology. We look for high agency, integrity, and excellent communication as we aim to empower every person to move the needle on our huge mission.

The Opportunity

As a Competition Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of our competition ecosystem, orchestrating all aspects of our competition operations while serving as the dynamic, public-facing champion who engages directly with competitors and shapes how the world's best AI builders experience our competition product.

You should be someone who gets energized by public interaction, loves diving deep and getting creative, and thrives on moving fast with bold initiative while never compromising on precision. You will own the entire competition experience, blending strategic competitor engagement with operational mastery, leveraging AI to supercharge your impact, and establishing yourself as the definitive expert and advocate for our groundbreaking competition platform.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Launch and scale our competition platform successfully onboarding and managing 50+ active competitors in the first 90 days, establishing yourself as the trusted go-to resource for competition operations and competitor relations.
  • Leverage AI and other tools to automate 80%+ of routine competition operations tasks within 6 months, freeing up time to focus on high-impact competitor engagement and strategic program improvements that elevate the entire competition experience.
  • Build and implement a comprehensive competition playbook within the first 6 months, including social media response protocols, public communication guidelines, and competitor triage systems that reduce response time by 50% and increase positive competitor sentiment.
  • Establish yourself as the public face of our competition product, representing the platform at 10+ community events, AMAs, or public forums in your first year, while maintaining a 90%+ satisfaction rating from competitor interactions. Gather feedback from competitors and maintain a list of skills they're interested in.
  • Create and optimize competition operations metrics and reporting systems within the first quarter, delivering weekly insights on competitor activity, competition performance, and operational efficiency that directly inform product and strategic decisions.
  • Proactively investigate and plan for 100+ competition-related scenarios, edge cases, and competitor behaviors in your first year, building the definitive knowledge base that becomes the foundation for competition operations excellence.

Skills You'll Need:

You’re likely a great fit if you have:

  • Lightning-fast executor with high agency: You see what needs to be done and do it immediately without waiting for permission
  • Investigative mindset: Natural curiosity and detective-like ability to dig into edge cases, identify patterns, and deeply understand "why" and "how" things work
  • Technical experience: Previous experience working on or supporting a technical product, with ability to understand product mechanics and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Uncompromising attention to detail: Obsessive about accuracy and quality, even when moving fast—you catch the small things that others miss
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and chaos: You thrive in environments where things are being built in real-time and can create structure from disorder while maintaining composure
  • Advanced AI proficiency: Active daily user of AI tools - likely beyond chatbots - to accelerate work, automate tasks, and solve problems creatively
  • Data analysis and metrics: Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and analytics tools to track KPIs, identify trends, and extract actionable insights from competition data
  • Digital communication platforms: Expertise in social media management, community platforms (Discord, Telegram, Twitter/X), and public communication tools
  • Web3 fundamentals (bonus): Understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, tokens, and decentralized competition mechanics

If you’re passionate about AI, love building tools that empower others, and thrive in a fast-moving, experimental environment, we’d love to hear from you! 🚀

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with any part of our tech stack: onchain/web3, SQL, big data, NFTs/tokens, etc.
  • Leadership in driving team objectives, balancing business needs with team dynamics, and personal development.
  • A broader appreciation for the pioneers of computing and a personal investment in areas beyond technology.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
