Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Chief of Staff, Marketing to serve as the operational backbone of our marketing organization. This role will partner directly with the VP of Marketing to execute high-impact marketing initiatives, manage cross-functional alignment, and optimize performance across the team. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare or pharma, a track record of execution in fast-paced startups, and a passion for driving results across events, content, campaigns, and cross-functional integration.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on wearing many hats and wants to help scale an ambitious, mission-driven marketing function—while freeing the VP of Marketing to focus on strategy, innovation, and long-term brand vision.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Execution & Project Leadership
  • Own the planning and execution of content programs and events (virtual and in-person)
  • Manage timelines, resources, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution across all marketing initiatives
  • Act as a central point of accountability for project deliverables across events, sales enablement, and product marketing.
Budgeting & Performance Optimization
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing to manage and optimize the marketing budget
  • Track spend, ROI, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and impact
  • Build dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision making and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Integration
  • Serve as the marketing liaison to product, sales, and customer success teams
  • Ensure strong alignment on go-to-market efforts, messaging, and customer engagement strategies
  • Help drive marketing’s contribution to pipeline and revenue by coordinating across the org
Strategic Partnership
  • Enable the VP of Marketing to focus on long-term strategy by owning day-to-day execution and operations
  • Help synthesize insights, priorities, and messaging across multiple workstreams
  • Contribute to evolving our brand voice, innovation roadmap, and category leadership efforts
Education & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, operations, or consulting roles; at least 3 years in a high-growth startup environment
  • Prior experience in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex marketing projects from end-to-end
  • Strong grasp of marketing performance metrics and budget management
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with precision
  • Experience leading or coordinating events, content marketing, and cross-functional programs
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, ClickUp, Trello
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
