About the job

Zig-Zag is seeking an Associate Brand Manager to help develop and execute marketing initiatives that drive brand growth, awareness, and loyalty. You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering creative, consumer-first programs that live across digital, retail, and experiential channels- working closely with the broader brand team to ensure flawless execution.

Essential Functions

  • Strategy & Planning
    • Lead development of annual brand plans, growth strategies, and campaign roadmaps aligned with company objectives.
    • Lead competitive analysis and market opportunity assessment
    • Oversee go-to-market strategy for tobacco category
    • Ensure brand positioning, messaging, and creative execution remain consistent and culturally relevant.
    • Partner with Director of Brand on strategic brand direction and resource allocation
  • Analytics & Customer Insights
    • Own customer segmentation strategy for non-tobacco and develop eep audience understanding
    • Synthesize research, data, and market intelligence into actionable brand insights
    • Track and analyze brand health metrics (awareness, perception, consideration, loyalty)
    • Identify whitespace opportunities and emerging customer needs
    • Translate complex data into clear strategic narratives for stakeholders
  • Campaign Leadership and Launches
    • Manage day-to-day execution of brand campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery and cross-functional coordination.
    • Track campaign results, analyze performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
    • Lead end-to-end campaign planning, development, and execution across channels
    • Manage promotional calendar and ensure coordinated go-to-market timing
    • Own launch playbooks for new products, features, or market entries
    • Coordinate creative production processes from brief to final delivery
    • Troubleshoot execution challenges and keep campaigns on track
    • Review and approve creative work for strategic alignment and brand integrity
    • Ensure brand experience ladders up to strategic positioning across all channels
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Product Development on commercialization and launch plans for new products or line extensions.
    • Support Trade Marketing with POS, retail programs, and field activation assets.
    • Maintain strong alignment with Sales, ensuring marketing initiatives drive measurable in-store impact.
    • Partner with Creative and Digital and Social teams to lead marketing strategy and execution of campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential channels.
    • Partner with creative agencies and internal teams on breakthrough brand ideas
    • Manage external agencies and production partners, ensuring creative excellence and brand consistency.
    • Maintain organized systems for creative assets and marketing materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA Preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in brand marketing or consumer products.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing campaigns across social, digital, and retail environments.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Industry experience in Brand Management.
