Home based position - West Coast, US (able to travel within territory up to 60%)

 

Your role in our team:

As an Account Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of advancing bit.bio’s innovative iPSC-derived cell products across the US. Reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager (US), you will directly sell our off-the-shelf products for research and drug discovery within academic institutions and commercial organisations such as Pharma, Biotech, and CROs. This is a key position responsible for generating revenue and building meaningful, long-term partnerships in a rapidly growing field.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a proactive sales strategy for your assigned region.
  • Prospecting and qualifying leads to generate new business opportunities and converting these into sales.
  • Owning the full sales process – from outreach and lead follow-up to negotiations and closing.
  • Building both tactical and strategic customer relationships, including high-volume supply agreements (100M–1B+ cells).
  • Delivering compelling product presentations via digital meetings and in-person site visits.
  • Leveraging tools such as GlobalData and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for lead generation and customer intelligence.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to share customer insights and influence product development.
  • Aligning with marketing and product management to execute targeted campaigns and lead strategies.
  • Representing bit.bio at key scientific conferences, symposiums, and events.

You…

  • Hold a minimum BSc (Hons) or higher in a scientific discipline, ideally in Cell and Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience).
  • Have experience within a sales or commercial role within the life sciences sector.
  • Are commercially driven with a customer-focused mindset and a proactive approach to sales.
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and strategic audiences.
  • Are agile and a strategic thinker, able to align with organisational goals while identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Are a team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Able to travel up to 60% of the time (within territory). 

With essential experience in…

  • Practical experience with cell culture, gained through postgraduate academic work or in an industrial laboratory. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the drug discovery process.
  • Proven success in selling technical products to both small biotech firms and large strategic accounts.
  • Experience navigating procurement processes and working with channel partners.
  • Experience of working with biotech, pharma, CROs and academic customers in the territory (West Coast, US).
  • Proven experience / knowledge in prospecting for leads, assessing the value of an opportunity, sales planning and being able to execute on the devised commercial strategy.
  • Good level of proficiency in customer and product presentations and demonstrated ability to present to the scientific community.
  • Knowledgeable and good level of competence with HubSpot database or equivalent CRM to manage sales process.
