About the Role

SponsorUnited is seeking a driven, strategic Growth Account Manager to oversee a high-value book of business ($2M–$3M ARR) and accelerate revenue expansion across a portfolio of brand, agency, media, and rights holder clients. This individual will own renewals, drive upsells, identify commercial opportunities, and help bring new products and features to market by partnering closely with clients.

This role is ideal for a sales-minded relationship builder who can balance revenue accountability with strong collaborative partnership both with clients and internal teams, including Customer Success Managers (CSMs). Familiarity with the sports & entertainment ecosystem and existing industry relationships are highly valued.

Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Ownership & Growth
  • Manage a portfolio representing $2M–$3M in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
  • Own the full renewal cycle, ensuring timely, accurate forecasting and high retention.
  • Drive upsells, cross-sells, and expansion revenue, including additional licenses, modules, and premium offerings.
  • Identify and cultivate new growth opportunities within accounts by understanding client needs, whitespace, and organizational structures.
  • Partner with product and leadership to commercialize and monetize new features and products as they are released.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a strategic partner and primary commercial point of contact for strategic clients.
  • Support and collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure strong relationships, adoption, and value delivery across accounts.
  • Develop multi-threaded relationships across key client stakeholders—brand, agency, rights holder, and media partners.
  • Communicate SponsorUnited’s value proposition and competitive advantages to drive long-term account growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide client insights to Product, Marketing, and Leadership to inform roadmap decisions and go-to-market strategy.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure successful rollout and adoption of new features, tools, and services.
  • Participate in strategic planning for account segmentation, revenue forecasting, and growth strategy.
Pipeline, Reporting & Forecasting
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and renewal data within CRM tools.
  • Deliver reliable revenue forecasts, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities.
  • Use data to spot patterns in client usage, expansion potential, and churn risk.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of sales, account management, or growth experience (Sports partnership, SaaS or data-platform experience preferred).
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events (approximately 10–20% of the time).
  • Proven track record of owning renewals, driving upsells, and hitting revenue targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create compelling business cases and negotiate contracts.
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with Customer Success functions in strategic and enterprise accounts.
  • Familiarity with the sports, entertainment, media, or sponsorship landscape preferred.
  • Existing relationships across brands, agencies, and rights holders is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of the SponsorUnited platform—or similar B2B data/insights platforms—is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a large, complex book of business.
