Refersion is looking for a self-motivated and results-oriented Account Executive (AE) to drive new customer acquisition and expand our market presence in the thriving e-commerce ecosystem. In this critical Individual Contributor role, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying to negotiating and closing new business with high-growth e-commerce brands. Primary Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Sales Ownership:
    • Identify qualified inbound opportunities for upsells and annual prepay opportunities.
    • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead qualification to contract negotiation and closing, primarily targeting mid-market and strategic e-commerce companies.
    • Conduct demos that highlight Refersion's value proposition and its impact on a brand's affiliate and partner marketing strategy.
    • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Pipeline Generation & Management:
    • Independently prospect and generate new business opportunities through personalized outreach, networking, and strategic follow-up on inbound leads.
    • Work alongside our Partnerships Director to close deals referred from Agency Partners
    • Strategically manage and nurture a robust sales pipeline using our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accurate forecasting and data hygiene.
    • Develop targeted account plans and execute sophisticated outbound sales strategies to penetrate key target accounts.
  • E-commerce & Product Expertise:
    • Act as a subject matter expert on the e-commerce technology landscape, specifically around affiliate marketing, influencer tracking, and DTC business needs.
    • Effectively consult with prospects on their existing marketing tech stack (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, etc.) and demonstrate how Refersion integrates and drives ROI.
    • Handle sophisticated objections related to technical integration, competitive offerings, and pricing/ROI justification.
  • Collaboration & Process:
    • Work closely with the Customer Success and Implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition for new customers.
    • Provide market feedback to the Product and Marketing teams to help refine our offering and sales materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience in an e-commerce, B2B SaaS environment, closing deals with e-commerce brands
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding an annual quota and managing a complex sales cycle.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the e-commerce tech stack (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, MarTech tools, logistics) and a genuine understanding of a merchant’s growth challenges.
  • High proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot) and modern sales engagement tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions to technical audiences.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, startup environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience selling a solution related to Affiliate, Influencer, or Partner Marketing software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
