5 LA-built apps to help you manage your cash

With online transfers, multiple credit cards and good, old-fashioned cash, there's a lot to keep track of when it comes to personal finances. In order to aid in this fiscal frenzy, we compiled a list of 5 LA-area apps to help you manage your money:

This is one you've probably heard of before. The Irvine-based company has been putting people's spare change to use since 2012. By intuitively investing your left over cents, the service creates a diversified portfolio for you and provides the tools for you to manage it.

Keeping track of your own credit card expenses can often lead to some unwanted debt. Payoff was founded in 2009 and provides people with loans to help pay off credit card debt. The subsequent interest rates are much lower and the terms are more flexible so you're not bogged down by debt depression.

Borrowing money from your parents used to be as easy as knowing where to look in your mom's purse. Nowadays things have gone digital. With Oink, parents can send money to a secure, monitored account to give their children fiscal responsibility without having to borrow the credit card.

If you're a big credit card user, you need to make sure you're getting the most out of your purchases. Wallaby learns your spending habits and helps you find the right cards that will deliver the rewards and limits that suit you best.

When it comes to managing money, Float can be a blessing or a curse. Although it hasn't technically had a public launch, Float provides users with instant access to credit to use online, in-store or on their debit card. Just make sure not to get carried away.
