When it comes to health care, a patient’s peace of mind is crucial, yet physician’s credentials are still commonly shared via fax machine, an outdated system prone to error and forgery.
In hopes of updating the industry, Silversheet, a new health care administration software platform, launched today out of Culver City. The startup digitalizes documents, automates primary source verifications, and reminds physicians when their renewed credentials are due.
Silversheet requires no training and makes it possible to on-board new physicians in only a few minutes. Facilities are then able to manage their credentials from any connected device.
“Many people in the industry are frustrated by the recent changes in healthcare,” said Co-founder Miles Beckett, M.D. “What we have created is a private, intimate relationship between the staff and the health care facility.”
The announcement comes on the heels of $2.9 million seed round for Silversheet. The funding was led by Upfront Ventures with participation by Rincon Venture Partners, SV Angel, Slow Ventures, and Cyan and Scott Banister.
Silversheet has been successful adopted at 50 facilities during its trial period in preparation for their national rollout.
While outpatient clinics are the fastest growing segment of healthcare, they can lack the resources to effectively cooperate with the steep administrative requirements of the industry. Silversheet aims to alleviate the time-consuming paperwork and allow professionals to focus on their patient’s needs.
The software logs information like the education, training, licensing, legal history, and prescription info of health care professionals. Whether a nurse, lab technician, or a seasoned physician, Silversheet maintains a meticulous log of their medical history.
