Today,

announced a $25 million Series B round, which will propel the subscription-based ecommerce company’s product development and also its expansion to selling and distributing natural, toxic-free products internationally (first stop? Canada).

“The overwhelmingly positive response to both our recent launch in Canada and the availability of Honest products from our retail partners is a testament to the vast unmet global need for safe everyday family products,” co-founder and CEO Brian Lee said in a Business Wire release. “This new round of funding will provide essential resources for us to continuously expand our suite of products and bring them to households around the world.”

Institutional Venture Partners and ICONIQ Capital led the recent funding round, which puts The Honest’s Company’s total funding at $52 million since being founded by Lee and Jessica Alba in 2011. Existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst Partners also continued to back The Honest Company in this round.

“We created The Honest Company with the dream to one day provide natural, affordable products to families everywhere,” Lee said. “We appreciate the continued support from our investors as it will help us get one step closer.”
