We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Vice President of Accounting/Corporate Controller who will be responsible for directing the corporate accounting activities and functions, including the financial close process, internal and external reporting, accounting operations, accounting policies and procedures and effectively managing significant interaction and communication cross functionally. What you’ll do:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations: AP, AR, Cash Management, Payroll, Tax, Inventory Control and general accounting
• Drive month end, quarter end and year end closes and oversee internal and external reporting
• Partner closely with the Finance team in identifying and mitigating risk and opportunities throughout the financial planning and close processes
• Play a lead role in ERP and systems architecture transformation projects
• Collaborate with Operations with regards to major distribution center transitions
• Design and direct inventory control activities, including cycle count programs and physical inventory counts
• Review contracts in regards to financial reporting and tax matters
• Perform technical accounting research and accounting determinations on relevant transactions
• Oversee and review accounting policies and controls, ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance
• Partner with department heads to drive all accounting initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements and simplification initiatives
• Oversee and coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors
• Motivate and cultivate the accounting team with an emphasis on performance and communication

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• 15+ years experience in accounting
• Familiarity with inventory accounting processes and best practice
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting expertise
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Established and detail orientated self-starter with experience working in a hands-on environment
