As a Structural Engineer (Transportation) at Hyperloop One you will play a key role in developing the transportation system of the future. Your designs and analyses will be instrumental in developing a safe, cost effective and robust design.

Responsibilities:

• Developing tube and route structural systems
• Creating cost effective structural systems in compliance with regional codes and guidelines around the world
• Developing and analyzing structural models
• Detailed design of steel and concrete structures
• Determining the most efficient construction and installation operations
• Cost and schedule estimation in support of various route development activities

Requirements:

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or similar field
• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Structural engineering
• Bridge design
• Tunnel design
• Significant experience with steel and reinforced concrete
• Significant experience with structural engineering software packages (SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and ANSYS)
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferences:

• Advanced degree (MS, MEng or PhD) in Civil or Structural Engineering, or similar field
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
• Significant experience with FEA tools
• Experience with composites or non-standard structural materials
• Experience with seismic isolation and/or damping devices
• Experience in the fabrication and/or installation of complex structures
• Design skills utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
