Staff Accountant
MomentFeed is expanding, and we’re looking for a Staff Accountant with great energy and a positive, get it done attitude to expand our Finance team.
Our market-leading software platform empowers marketing teams at multi-location businesses like Starbucks, Cricket Wireless, Jamba Juice, and Pizza Hut to engage with customers on mobile phones at every point in their customer journey. We help our enterprise clients harness the power social networks - Facebook, Google, Apple, Yelp, Bing and more – to influence consumers to visit their stores, shops and restaurants. The use of smartphones continues to grow, and we continue to add more capabilities for these brands to leverage their digital presence to drive more sales.
The right person for the Staff Accountant role will help the Finance & Ops team manage a diverse set of daily and monthly financial responsibilities. You are organized, manage time well, and are always looking for new ways to improve existing processes. You will be working in a friendly, collaborative and innovative environment in the heart of Silicon Beach.
This position is located in Santa Monica headquarters – local candidates only.
You Will
- Organize and record AR/AP and general accounting transactions
- Master and utilize our in-house accounting system: Intacct
- Create payable invoices and process outgoing payments
- Track collections and process incoming payments
- Assist in monthly client invoicing
- Manage employee expenses and reimbursements
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards for month-end closing
You Must Have
- Experience in general accounting (internships, classes, A/R or A/P experience, etc.)
- Must possess basic Excel skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, through both writing and speaking
- Top notch organization and time management skills – you’re known for putting things in the exact right place
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Bonus Points
- Experience with our accounting platform, Intacct
- Experience with our employee expense platform, Expensify
- Advanced Excel skills (VLookup and SumIf)
- Exposure to Salesforce.com, including pricing and opportunities
- Desire to work with a subscription-based income business
