Job Purpose
We are looking for a self-starter, with extensive experience creating and executing test plans on a variety of platforms.
You will be part of a small, high performance team and will have the opportunity to excel and grow your career delivering great quality product at a fast pace. You will collaborate with development and product management to drive testability and ensure quality of the releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated tests, and identify actionable bugs quickly.
- Manage QA coverage of our web application. Planning/organizing necessary test passes, staying on top of all important issues, help triaging bugs and driving issues to resolutions and keeping everyone aware of QA status.
- Work with different teams (Developers/Product/Operations) to collect necessary information to assure the QA coverage, and also provide feedback on quality issues.
- Work with onsite and offshore team to set their priorities and remove their roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage is done for releases.
- Assess the status of the release, and help make sure that the release goes out on time with high quality level.
Requirements
- Be able to come up with the test cases quickly and get them prioritized based on changes.
- Exceptionally organized with near obsessive attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
- You love to tinker with the software and have a keen ability to find what's broken
- Possess a genuine understanding of the location-based services space
- Excellent collaborator and communicator
- Comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
- Experience working with remote people a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- SQL knowledge is a plus
