Beautycon Media Inc. is seeking a Social Content Producer to add to the team. 

The ideal candidate for this position is obsessed with makeup and the beauty influencer world, social content creation, fan engagement and has extensive experience creating content and writing for a young, Gen Z audience across various social platforms old and new. 

The ideal candidate also thrives in a fast-paced, lean startup environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Manage Beautycon’s social channels - Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter (with a high priority on Instagram, Instagram Story, and Snapchat Story) - from end to end, including creating engaging and effective content (photos, video, GIFs), writing compelling copy and deploying all posts.

- Live tweet during live events and monitor social conversation and engagement.

- Shoot and edit photo and video assets for social distribution for live and large events and festivals. 

- Help develop content rollout strategy for social channels, balancing various stakeholder requirements to achieve network goals and business KPIs.

- Communicate with Beautycon marketing, sales, and creative teams to set daily, weekly, and monthly social priorities.

- Track performance of all social output to ensure both social engagement and business objectives are being met.

- Collaborate with designers and video editors to execute original editorial and video concepts.

- Ability to create concepts, execute, and host live story formats for Instagram Stories, Instagram Live, Snapchat Stories, and Facebook Live. 

 

Qualifications

- 2-3 years experience producing custom social content and managing social accounts, preferably for cosmetic or lifestyle brand. 

- Experience writing compelling headlines and copy optimized for click through as well as creating humorous and relatable copy for social memes. 

- Experience developing and creating visuals and video optimized for sharing.

- Experience with being on-camera for social beyond personal accounts. 

- Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each.

- Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution.

- Must be detail-oriented and a stickler for grammar and consistency in voice.

- Must be able to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the makeup and beauty landscape.

- Passionate and knowledgeable about makeup, beauty, wellness, pop culture and current events.

- Great communication skills and ability to articulate concepts.

- Ability to work against tight deadlines and flexibility to pivot on strategy and execution when necessary.

- Ability to mine and leverage social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends.

- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to continuously pitch ideas.

- Experience using social listening and posting tools such as Later, Iconosquare, Snaplytics, TalkWalker, or TribeDynamics. 

- Experience comfortably using tools from Google including Calendar, Slides, Docs, and Sheets.
