The role

We love working on near real-time decisioning systems over large data streams and are excited about the challenges that come with clearly communicating core security concepts as well as presenting the resulting data in an actionable way. We are looking to bring on someone with the proven UX expertise to help us continue to advocate, build, and embody a user-first culture.

This role will work closely with design, product and engineering teams to rapidly wireframe, prototype, and iterate a variety of interfaces including configuration management, navigational models, CRUD, analytics and data visualizations.

About you

We are largely a remote team so verbal and written communication is critical. You should be able to express yourself respectfully and feel comfortable communicating, socializing and brainstorming over Slack or Hangout regularly.

We are in the field of security and work with sensitive customer data, if you're not comfortable with that idea, we're not the right place for you.

Security experience is not necessary but a desire to build great products is.

  • 3+ years related experience (leadership roles a plus)
  • Passion for designing intuitive experiences and interfaces for technical/SaaS/enterprise products
  • Demonstrated blend of creative and analytic problem solving, from sketches and whiteboards to wireframes and prototypes
  • Ability to clearly articulate and advocate data-driven design and IA decisions.
  • Experience developing personas, user scenarios, journey maps, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Mastery of Sketch or other multipurpose design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Omnigraffle
  • Experience prototyping interactions with Axure, Quartz Composer or online solutions like Invision
  • Proficiency with wireframing tools like UXPin, Balsamiq, and Moqups
  • Experience building and maintaining pattern libraries and styleguides
  • Basic working knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (e.g. HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap etc.)
  • Experience designing responsive applications with sensitivity to device and content constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and leverage user analytics to make informed design decisions
  • Knowledge of, and experience executing relevant data visualization strategies to handle large and diverse data sets, i.e. knowing when and why to prefer one type of visualization over another
  • Ability to balance business goals, timelines and technical constraints and make tradeoffs where appropriate or provide recommendations for breaking down larger initiatives into distinct phases of deliverables
