Leveraging large community-supported open solutions, you will be designing, implementing and validating strategies for cloud-based infrastructure and services to support Tinder engineering teams to scale their applications that serve millions of users worldwide. This will entail ensuring high availability on both production and pre-production systems, while pushing teams towards true continuous delivery pipelines. In this role, you will:

• Build and scale the infrastructure for a global user base of 100s of millions.
• Have an essential role in developing and implementing automated processes/procedures with home grown and 3rd party tools
• Create dashboards and other tools for DevOps to use in day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting - anything that empowers us to ensure that users can continue to connect
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of the systems to ensure SLAs are met
• Collaborate with various engineering teams on design and expansion of our infrastructure

We’re looking for:

• MS in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of professional infrastructure experience post education
• Strong desire to learn about our infrastructure and new technologies
• AWS experience, including but not limited to EC2, ELB, and Auto Scaling Groups
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Go, JavaScript
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and/or Docker
• Experience with Configuration Management technologies, such as Puppet, Chef, and/or Ansible
• Deep systems knowledge within the Linux ecosystem
• Experience with kernel and network based tuning for performance and stability
• Experience with Nginx, Apache, or Haproxy technologies
• Solid understanding of networking principles and TCP/IP

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Kafka, Redis, DynamoDB and other NoSQL solutions
• Experience with ElastiCache and/or RDS
• Experience with CloudFormation and/or Terraform
• Familiarity with Node.js/Go/Java - you don’t need to write it, we just need you to know how to read it
• Experience with deployment and maintenance of Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch or Cassandra clusters
