ROLE SUMMARY: 
The Sr. Manager, Consumer Insights will be a strategic leader and trusted adviser to our brand teams. You will be instrumental in generating deep insights and integrated stories to build and grow our brands. Your insights will drive the business forward through careful diagnosis of business opportunities and data-driven recommendations. You will be tasked with developing a POV across multiple data sources and effectively influencing the organization to act. Ideally, you thrive on wanting to know why consumers act and feel the way they do and can transform these insights into recommendations that will drive and support strategic decision making.

You should be a passionate marketer, collaborator, and creative problem-solver that demonstrates the ability to use insights and data to drive business decisions.

Reporting directly to the Director of Consumer Insights, you will also help build greater internal research capabilities across the team, as well as help lead team workflow and prioritization processes. This is an exciting role with a unique opportunity to influence leadership as we bring our brand to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the development and execution of consumer research in support of measuring our brand and sub-brands (brand health, equities, opportunities, etc.), member satisfaction and overall customer experience
  • Play a strong role on cross-functional business teams to ensure marketing initiatives are grounded in consumer truths and insights
  • Support diagnostic measurement of test media and marketing initiatives
  • Integrate internal and external data across research and analysis teams within Dollar Shave Club to provide holistic stories
  • Work directly with the Director of Consumer Insights to implement strong team workflow and prioritization processes
  • Together with the Director of Consumer Insights, build out analytic capabilities across the team
  • Coach and develop the Consumer Insights Coordinator into a strong, well-rounded researcher
  • Leverage deep research understanding to deliver thoughtful research design tied to achieving business objectives
  • Work effectively and enjoy the interplay across cross-functional teams, such as marketing, user experience, acquisition, etc
  • Develop thoughtful research summaries to educate audiences ranging from the executive team to the entire organization - drive greater understanding of consumer research throughout the organization


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business or Market Research
  • 5+ years of Consumer Insights or Market Research experience, internal research experience a plus
  • Strong quantitative research skills from survey design to analysis and delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, equally comfortable with both
  • Strong interpretive skills-ability to quickly understand data and draw conclusions
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Qualtrics, Survey Monkey or other internal research tools a plus
  • An energetic spirit ready to embrace our brand, consumer, and company
