The Honest Company is on a mission to empower people to live happy healthy lives. We’ve kicked off the search for a Senior Marketing Director who will lead the general management and P&L for our Honest Beauty portfolio. You will lead development of the brand vision, strategy, positioning and assortment architecture for our Honest Beauty vertical. You will lead the strategic product pipeline partnering with R&D as well as driving disrupting go-to-market launch campaigns for continued vertical growth and development.

What you’ll do:

• Drive the vision for beauty care and develop short & long term strategies and marketing plans to meet and exceed company growth goals
• Lead the multifunctional team to deliver the execution of plans successfully
• Lead the beauty positioning and portfolio assessment to win with consumers in this segment
• Manage the current business, P&L, lead annual business/action planning process and go-to-market strategies for new product launches
• Build plans to ensure beauty is a margin engine driver for the company and consistently delivers on revenue and profit targets through business planning
• Continue to improve processes to maximize efficiency, productivity and to deliver in market results
• Identify consumer insights, developing/testing concepts with consumers and partnering with the multifunctional team to create sustainable pipeline of innovation for next 3 years
• Integrating online & traditional media to build brand equity and drive sales with target audiences; strong understanding of how to use e-commerce/direct to consumer, social media & latest tech to drive consumer engagement and be disruptive online
• Building plans to ensure beauty is margin engine driver for the company and delivers on revenue targets
• Manage the budget effectively to drive high ROI growth plans
• Provide continuous coaching and performance feedback to fully develop and grow the beauty marketing team to reach their true potential

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years experience in brand management, product/digital marketing or management consulting in the beauty/cosmetics space
• 5+ years experience managing and developing teams
• Expert knowledge of communicating and storytelling to consumers
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing priorities 
• Ability to effectively present ideas and influence senior management
