Senior Director, Account Management (West Region)

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Senior Director, Account Management will have responsibility for leading a team of account managers and other resources responsible for managing our partners. This role will be responsible for partners in a region and work closely with sales, product and engineering. After a new partner agreement is signed, the Partner Services team manages on-boarding activities necessary to set up partners for success in maximizing revenue with OpenX and for the partner. These on-boarding activities includes coordination with sales engineering, technical account management and business development to complete product implementations. Such efforts require strong program management skills. This senior leader will lead to ensure a strong framework is in place to work through all business aspects of the relationship to ensure partner satisfaction once launched.

As senior leader, you must be able to drive a group to achieve a revenue target, build and manage a team who can cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with partners, and grow revenue with our partners on the back of these consultative relationships. The Senior Director, Account Management will work with individuals on the team to map out partner revenue growth opportunities, ensure new partners are smoothly on-boarded, drive upsell opportunities, and avoid churn.

In the OpenX Partner Services team, we strive to exceed partner expectations through building, supporting and maintaining long-term win-win relationships. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and build existing and future account management team that engages with our partners through a combination of 1-to-many programs, as well as targeted, defined interactions
  • Build and nurture relationships with sales teams across OpenX to solidify our partnership and commitment to the partner
  • Responsible for working with the team to accurately forecast all the accounts assigned
  • Participate in the design and development of key processes that facilitate the scaling of our business as our market and product grows
  • Work closely with sales to ensure appropriate alignment of resources to key accounts targeted for growth
  • Create evangelists by listening to partners closely and delighting them with our new user experience and onboarding.
  • Collect feedback to provide to product with product enhancement information
  • Ensure all account issues are resolved quickly, leveraging resources from across the company as needed
  • Manage operational components for partner satisfaction and product lifecycle growth
  • Provide executive project oversight and partner communication
  • Hire world-class talent and manage performance to ensure career growth opportunities
  • Drive expectations within team around QBRs
  • Drive partner lifecycle program management across the region
  • Collaborate with peers and other regions to share best practice
  • Collaborate with sales and product around new product launches
  • Work with sales and sales engineering to monitor pipeline of expected new deals as well as develop a joint strategic blueprint for new product adoptions among current clients
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with other groups within OpenX, such as product, engineering and finance 


Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing publisher monetization and / or partnership teams with at least 10 members. Demonstrated success in growing revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop consultative relationships with external partners and strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams
  • Proven people leadership experience and demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Results-driven and committed to identifying and tackling new business opportunities, driving new process efficiencies and building high performing teams
  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts
  • Proficient relationship management and/or operations leader with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to evaluate and develop existing teams and reshape it as necessary while mentoring and inspiring the team
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively from building strategy to flawless execution
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority. Strong analytical and strategic thinker
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within partners' businesses as well as within OpenX
  • BA / BS degree, desired but not required in engineering, finance, economics
  • Strong knowledge of online advertising business including ad serving / ad exchanges / RTB technologies
  • 5-7 years of experience managing teams of sales/ business development or operations professionals;
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in publisher monetization or yield management, digital advertising operations or sales, online advertising technology sales or services.
