The Senior Business Operations Manager will be responsible for leading business processes to ensure Hyperloop One is running effectively in all area of its operations. This role will be responsible for strategy, budgeting, data driven processes and efficiencies. This role requires the individual to lead teams cross functionally and get buy in from top executives. 

Responsibilities

  • Implement and/or improve business programs including but not limited to business process development, policy and procedure, employee record management, and time and attendance.
  • Lead the Business Operations team to create data driven, insightful strategies to address our business goals.
  • Create technical and strategic needs assessments for project proposals.
  • Oversee all aspects of our global risk management and insurance programs.
  • Offer industry insights to address our business challenges to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to significantly improve business operations.
  • Lead efforts on sophisticated quantitative analyses and translate that data into actionable insights.
  • Define, implement, and enforce all business operation process and procedure.
  • Partner with internal business units and executives to work on companywide strategic planning. 
  • Identify root causes and provide analysis and recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure our Business Operations team meet compliance rules and regulations.
  • Review and summarize operational data and report on findings to the executive suite.
  • Review and evaluate all current policy practices and report on your findings.
  • Obtain all financial requirements from the Operations department to create holistic budgets.
  • Motivate employees to obtain training and adoption of all processes implemented.

Required Minimum Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in similar role
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Prior business planning, broad financial, analytical and structured problem solving skills
  • Experience in implementing operational improvements through process implementation and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to think globally and strategically, influencing change across the organization

Preferred Experience

  • Masters degree
