Responsibilities
- Rigging, weighting and setting up controls and interfaces for character animation
- Facilitating tools for exporting rigs to the engine
- Help troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct animation-related performance issues
- Collaborate with engineering to implement IK-based animation system
- Responsibility for creating rigs for all creatures
- Experience with hard surface and smooth deforming character pipelines and setup
- Advanced technical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of biomechanics and anatomy
Requirements
- 3D animation and rigging
- 5 years of experience in the video game industry
- Expert knowledge of Maya or Max
- An excellent understanding of real time animation including IK and physics
- An expert-level understanding of next-gen game character development processes, tools, pipelines
- A demonstrated ability to integrate the creative and technical character-building processes
Optional, but a major plus
- Experience in cinematic productions
- Experience with the Unity game engine
- Experience with VR
