As part of our first ever retail and experiential marketing initiatives, you will help carve the path for Joybird’s offline footprint. You will represent the Joybird brand by providing our customers best-in-class customer support and design assistance. Our goal is to educate each and every customer in interior design and enable them to create amazing looking spaces with our products. 

You will work at our cutting edge showroom, pop-up events, and mobile/experiential marking initiatives. Your role will be to help our customers feel right at home and discover the wonders of customizable furniture made just for them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service to every person that walks through our doors or to our events
• Consult customers on the latest interior design trends
• Assist customers in selecting the best products for their particular space
• Represent our brand: who we are, what we stand for, and what our core values are as a company. It’ll be your job to translate our brand philosophy to customers in person!
• Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and expertise
• Educate customers on all-things-furniture
• Deliver a memorable experience to each and every customer
• Help create and work our in-store marketing events 

REQUIREMENTS

• Educational background or previous experience in Interior Design, Art, or Architecture
• 1-3 years of interior design or relevant experience preferred
• People Person with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working with all types of customer personalities and excited to engage with them
• Maintains cool under pressure
• An effective and expedient problem-solver with a fastidious attention to detail
• Positive attitude and feels there is no task too small
• Self-starter; entrepreneurial disposition
• Eager to be at the frontline of a fast-paced and growing company
• Loves to talk, loves to learn, loves to listen
• Bachelor's Degree or current college student

PLUS (not required)

• Experience working in retail or customer facing environments 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and other related space planning/rendering programs
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
