We currently have an opening for a Project Manager, HR. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Project Manager role is both a hands-on and strategic role that provides project leadership and support to significant Human Resources projects. This role is critical in executing project initiatives, managing change, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement and providing superior customer support. This must combine HR expertise with project management expertise, leveraging the blended skillset of an HR Business Partner and Project Manager, to consult and manage projects from original concept through successful change management and final implementation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partners with project sponsors to bring definition to a project; creates project plan outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and timelines
• Develops project plans in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders to execute strategic HR initiatives, distributes work among team members (including self, this role will also execute project deliverables), sets expectations, and drives to deliver projects with excellence, on time and on budget
• Uses broad knowledge of HR to lead team members to approach the project in a manner that results in a cohesive and integrated solution
• Monitors team milestone completion; identifies process and operational roadblocks; owns and consults solution development with stakeholders, and escalates critical decisions to reach alignment
• Owns major end-to-end processes and events on a project, takes initiative, and uses problem solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
• Builds project governance structure for all projects including project leadership, project update process/cadence and escalates critical decisions to reach stakeholders
• Independently gathers information from a variety of sources; to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered, and to deliver insights
• Creates comprehensive and effective change management and communication strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project success 
• Establishes collaborative partnerships and consults with key business stakeholders and HR team members
• Fosters teamwork, collaboration, and learning within the HR team contributing to a positive work environment
• Facilitates problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes tied to business results
• Knowledgeable in leading edge HR practices, trends and information; aware of employee engagement strategies and innovative tactics being applied in the marketplace

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

• B.A./B.S. in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. 
• Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience and 4 years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects
• Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
• Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leaders
• Possesses strong strategic orientation, ability to think critically, and evaluate broad impacts of work
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in the work group
• Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
• Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology, tools, and best practices
• Must be able to develop and clearly and concisely present a professional product to multiple levels of management
• Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
• Experience in effective change management techniques and implementation, an HRIS, a plus
• Possesses broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions, a plus
• Experience with organizational design and process improvement, a plus
