The Product Development team is responsible for partnering with the Brand Marketing team to develop innovative products, renovate existing products, and manage the portfolio of existing products at The Honest Company. We work closely with most of the company’s stakeholders to ensure we develop products which represent the brand’s mission.

We’re looking for an intern to join the Health, Wellness and Feeding team! The Health, Wellness and Feeding team manages all of our Honest vitamins, supplements, and infant formula products.

The Honest Internship Program takes place at our headquarters in Playa Vista. The program will run for 10 weeks from the beginning of June to mid-August, and is a paid, full-time, 40 hours/week program. Interns must be available for the full duration of the internship.

What you’ll do:

• Work cross-functionally and get a feel for other departments like Brand Marketing, Planning, Operations, Sourcing and Sales
• Learn how we develop products at the Honest Company from creating briefs, collaborating on claims development, and working with manufacturers
• Write product specifications to effectively communicate key product attributes (formula, packaging components, case count, packing instructions, etc.) to contract manufacturers
• Manage packaging artwork updates by requesting changes from our design team, ensuring pertinent information (fill weight, UPC, etc.) is accurate, and gaining approvals from key stakeholders
• Manage and request samples coming from outside suppliers.
