This is a 10-12 week summer internship slated to begin in June 2017.

With the help and guidance of a mentor, the Product Design Intern will work in a diverse, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated, blue-sky thinker with accomplished sketching, illustration, and design skill sets.


We are looking for an Imaginative and passionate designers who want to work in a fast-paced, fun environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform ideation & design with a focus on toys and hard lines
  • Conduct trend analysis to inform product design decisions
  • Involvement in product and character development
  • Work cross-functionally between the Design, Development, Branding teams, along with other departments as needed
  • Assist with creating the unique story of each curated crate

WHAT DEFINES SUCCESS

  • Create unique product designs for different crate lines
  • Familiarity with Loot Crate’s unique style and brand

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Current enrollment in an applicable undergraduate field at a local university, with an anticipated graduation date in 2018
  • Experience in product ideation, sketching, rendering, and technical design
  • Basic foundation in visual design theory (color theory, composition, typography, etc.)
  • Knowledge of design best practices as they apply to different media
  • Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D software including Autodesk Maya
  •  Craft skills, including comping of prototypes
  • Curiosity to learn new things and a healthy dose of ambition to grow
  • Ability to take direction, work within deadlines, switch priorities as necessary, and have an eye for details
  • An interest in geek & pop culture a HUGE plus
