Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager will be based in Los Angeles, CA. Responsible to craft, lead and grow our operations that source and manage the elements of our R&D Hyperloop systems. Responsibilities
- Leads the development and execution of a procurement operation including purchasing, shipping, receiving
- Wears multiple hats in our startup environment and has the vision and drive to build a new department
- Hires and supervises associated staff and coordinates daily duties and long term projects
- Develops our near term Manufacturing Execution System
- Consolidates the procurement priorities from a matrix team of engineers
- Works closely to meet the needs of our accounting and finance teams
- Develops the expansion and management of our supplier base
- Manages risks to schedule and quality of procured parts and assemblies
- Develops our reporting process and produces reports
- Critical team member in crafting our next generation ERP system
Requirements
- Excellent communicator and collaborator who can build strong internal and external relationships
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in fields of supply chain or manufacturing
- Experience in manufacturing of industrial equipment, automotive, or aerospace products
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings
- Project Management experience
- People management experience
- At least 5 years in a similar role
- Multi-site and global supply chain experience a plus
