Our Product We develop specialty web-based software that enables Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees to manage their practices. Chapter 7 cases account for approximately 80% of the more than one million new consumer and business bankruptcies filed each year throughout the United States. Our first product, IQ7™, is designed as a secure, cloud-based specialty application focused on Chapter 7 administration. An intuitive, clean interface conceived for desktop, tablet and mobile devices pushes each case forward proactively and streamlines the trustee’s most critical workflows. As the first full-time technical employee in our Newport Beach office, you will have the opportunity to build your own team and establish the systems and processes (SDLC, QA, etc.) needed to drive results. Manage, motivate, and mentor top-performing engineers in a geographically distributed environment. The Role Player/Coach who leads development initiatives to build and enhance the core technology and improve customer experience. Lead an Agile team creating an enterprise-class service oriented architecture that will expose web services to a variety of applications. The application will read/write to RDBMS / NoSQL stores in an AWS-hosted, elastic processing environment. Back-end is Java EE with MySQL/Spring/Hibernate. Front-end is JavaScript with React. The Requirements Experience with design patterns, web architecture, web design and development tools and languages – Java EE v. 8, MySQL (or similar), Spring (or similar), Hibernate (or similar). Experience translating system requirements into complex application interfaces or web services designs. Experience executing unit testing framework, continuous integration, and Agile development. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of experience with software development, preferably with at least one startup. Local to Orange County area, no relocation offered. Authorized to work in the US. Big data experience preferred. Experience working with AWS environment strongly preferred.
