Laurel & Wolf is looking for an Office Administrator who can help us create a more productive work environment, while ensuring that our employees get the support they need, that the day-to-day tasks of the office are running smoothly and that our employees have a pleasant workplace experience. We are looking for someone eager to roll up his/her sleeves to address and resolve any problems that arise quickly and efficiently. This person will arrive early to open and prepare the office for the day.
Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones, greet and direct visitors appropriately
  • Coordinate space and office organization
  • Work with third-party cleaning, maintenance and service providers to resolve maintenance problems in a timely manner and keep office running smoothly
  • Assist with managing employees’ workplace experience, including coordinating company social events that take place during and after business hours
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Maintain kitchen, including ordering and stocking food as well as organizing supplies
  • Purchase and manage office supplies and equipment, including computers and printers
  • Keep the office tidy and clean
  • Manage mail
  • Arrive early to open the office to prepare it for the day
  • Organize special office improvement projects
  • Reconcile office management expenses
  • Other duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
  • 4+ years in office administration role in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Self-starter with a personable and positive attitude
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience implementing company-wide processes and policies to streamline efficiencies
  • Experience managing company culture
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
  • Experience working with a wide variety of contacts at all levels of management
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Flexibility to open office in morning as well as stay for periodic company events in evenings
