Opportunity

Your team will consist of software engineers with a heavy operational background who are interested in monitoring and automating the data-center. Your team will develop software by providing superior quality automation, architecture, design, instrumentation, and metrics gathering. We gather millions of data points into our highly scalable environment and you will be an integral part of creating and overseeing these projects. You will be part of the OpenX Technology Operations team, and report to the Vice President of Technology Operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire strong team members and pull from personal network to bring in top performers in the industry.
• Collaborate with our product development team on architecture, requirements, and implementation of product features related to reliability, quality, and data collection.
• Collaborate with our other Technology Operations teams on tooling and infrastructure necessary to maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and alerting systems. Automate everything.
• Become proficient in understanding each of the dozens of high performance software components that comprise the OpenX platform.
• Vastly improve efficiency in both operational processes and automation architecture while measuring progress at each point.
• Research and recommend new tools and procedures.
• Work with Engineering and TechOps management to create the high-level roadmaps and team strategy.
• Think long-term and be unsatisfied with band-aids.
• Identify unnecessary complexity and remove it.
