Who We Are

HopSkipDrive is a ridesharing service for kids that makes life easier for busy parents. We arrange rides for children (ages 7+) with experienced, fully-screened and TrustLine-certified caregivers. Created by three professional LA moms, HopSkipDrive sets the industry standard for safety. We watch every ride in real time, and parents can follow along on the app, too.

What We’re Looking For:

HopSkipDrive seeks an outgoing, resourceful, organized and creative Community Manager to help build the company’s brand and presence in Long Beach and North Orange County. This is a unique part-time contractor opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is interested in maintaining control of work hours and work location. You will be responsible for building relationships with local businesses, club teams and schools to recruit parents, businesses and drivers to the HopSkipDrive platform. You will develop and execute an outreach strategy to jumpstart demand from parents, generally promote the company’s brand awareness and reach and engage high quality, safe and reliable drivers.

A sample day might include:

Identifying and reaching out to local businesses to drive awareness and create partnership opportunities that garner HopSkipDrive inclusion in their social media and email newsletters
Reaching out to local public and private schools to engage them in sponsorship opportunities
Organizing speaking events with Parent Associations and PTAs
Attending local family events, farmer’s markets, street fairs, camp fairs, meet-ups, and other local opportunities to build relationships with parents and kid-oriented organizations

Who You Are:    

You are super-connected, outgoing, organized, resourceful and self-motivated. You have excellent communication and writing skills and love developing outside-the-box ideas. You can work effectively with little guidance and can be creative when working with tight resources. Ideally, you have experience in sales, marketing or event planning. You have a flexible schedule and are able to work some nights/weekends to attend events.

You are also highly connected and familiar with the following in Long Beach/North OC:

Families who have kids in our target age range, ages 7-15
The public and private school landscape
Activities for kids in upper elementary grades and middle school

What You’ll Get:

Ability to create your own flexible schedules and work location; typical weeks will be 15-20 hours.
Hourly pay or free HopSkipDrive rides for your kids.
