ConsumerTrack is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator with Cloud experience to join our Tech team. This role will be responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. The Linux Systems Administrator must also maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Assist and support developers with daily requests
• Provide tier 1 support for systems as part of an on-call rotation

• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments (Redhat/CentOS is a plus)
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Chef)
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Nginx, PHP, MySQL,Tomcat, Apache)
• Experience with virtualization servers (e.g., XenServer)
• Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, SSH Tunneling)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Basic Database server administration is a plus
• Working MS Active Directory knowledge is a plus
